My aunt raves about this dish that she had at a restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina all the time. The restaurant is called Le Farfalle and when I googled “Le Farfalle” and “Whipped Ricotta” it immediately came up. This is apparently a crowd-favorite appetizer at this restaurant and I understand why!
Whipped Ricotta With Honey and Black Pepper
Ingredients
- 15 oz ricotta
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil divided
- 3 tbsp honey
- freshly cracked black pepper
- Maldon salt
- crusty bread
Instructions
- Add ricotta to a food processor and blend. As it’s mixing, pour in 1 tbsp of oil and continue blending until it’s smooth and creamy, about a minute.
- Add whipped ricotta to a bowl, drizzle with remaining tbsp of oil then melt honey in the microwave for about 15 seconds and pour over.
- Top with pepper and salt and enjoy!
