If you’re not from the mid-west or familiar with the St.Louis classic treat called Gooey Butter Cake, I’m with ya. The first I heard of it was via my favorite Jeni’s flavor – Gooey Butter Cake. It’s just as advertised, gooey and loaded with butter. You also you a box of yellow cake mix, cream cheese, and powdered sugar. So all we’re doing with these cookies is swapping the yellow cake mix for chocolate, adding a Peppermint Hershey’s kiss, and making them in cookie form!
