On of my absolute favorite things on the planet is an everything bagel with cream cheese. I am from New Jersey and I don’t like to be righteous about knowing the best type of food but I can pretty confidently say our bagels are top notch. Growing up, bagels were a Sunday staple. My dad and I would get up bright and early and pull up to Bagels-4-U before all the crowds were there. The glass windows would always be steamy and you could smell the delicious aroma of freshly baked bagels before you even walked in. This dip is an ode to my bagel order – an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Everything Ritz With Scallion Cream Cheese Dip
Ingredients
- 6 tbsp butter
- 2 sleeves ritz
- 3 tbsp Everything But The Bagel seasoning divided
- 1 block cream cheese, 8 oz
- 1/4 cup full-fat greek yogurt or sour cream
- 3 tbsp each chopped dill, parsley, and scallions
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F and line a large baking sheet with foil
- Melt butter in a large baking dish and add 2 tbsp of EBTB seasoning to it. Add ritz to the dish and mix until they’re evenly coated.
- Spread crackers out evenly on baking sheet and sprinkle remaining tbsp of EBTB seasoning over the crackers. Bake for 6 minutes then flip and cook another 6 minutes.
- Add cream cheese, sour cream, garlic and onion powder, lemon juice, and olive oil to a food processor and blend until smooth.
- Add cream cheese mixture to a bowl with chopped herbs and mix until combined.
- Add baked crackers to a platter and serve!
